Tatapouri Bay - Gisborne, New Zealand

I created a custom hand-drawn T-shirt illustration that captures the relaxed, community-focused spirit of this beachfront accommodation and café.

The brief was open-ended, giving me the creative freedom to design artwork that reflected the unique atmosphere of the campground. Inspired by their tagline, "Slow down, you're in paradise," I illustrated a visuals that celebrates everything people love about Tatapouri Bay. From beach days, camping, and café culture to sunrise yoga and the sense of connection that brings visitors back year after year.

One of the area's most memorable experiences is feeding the local stingrays, so I incorporated this into the artwork as a nod to the bay's natural beauty and local character.

Created in a hand-drawn style, the illustration was designed to feel, relaxed, and full of personality. Something guests would genuinely want to wear long after their visit. This project was an incredibly enjoyable creative process.
